Call for Entries

All Delaware Watercolor Society (DWS) members and non-members are eligible to enter this open, judged exhibition which will hang in the Lewes Library gallery at 111 Adams Avenue, Lewes, Delaware. DWS is delighted to have this exhibition in this unique setting.

AWARDS JUDGES - Anne Crown-Cyr, BWS, DWS, and Isabel Pizzolato, BWS, DWS will preside as judges. Both are award-winning watermedia artists whose work has been on display in local and regional exhibitions.

AWARDS - DWS will present monetary awards totaling $550 and ribbons for First, Second, and Third place winners plus two Merit Awards. There will be three non-monetary honorable mention awards.

DWS Judged Watermedia Exhibition at Wilmington University

All Delaware Watercolor Society (DWS) Artist and Associate members and non-members are encouraged to enter this show, which will hang in the visitor’s gallery in the Administration Building at Wilmington University in Dover, DE.

This is a two-tiered exhibition. First and Second Place Awards will be presented in each tier: Emerging Artists and Established Artists.

DWS will present monetary awards totaling $600. In addition, up to six non-monetary, Merit Awards will be presented to artists whose paintings demonstrate significant artistic value deserving acknowledgement.

Our 1st Watercolor Splash Party
Come Join the Fun!

  • Afternoon Session: 1:00 pm to 3:30pm
  • Evening Session: 6:30pm to 9:00pm
At The Glade Clubhouse, 16 Glade Farm Road, Rehoboth Beach, DE
Cost: $25.00 per person

Create a 10 x14-inch, Watercolor Painting in 2 ½ hours as you follow our instructor’s demonstrations and step-by-step instructions. If you haven’t ever picked up a brush—you’re in luck—absolutely no experience required to participate. All materials: watercolor paints, brushes, and paper are supplied. Plus, you’ll get a chance to meet other potential artists and enjoy some light refreshments Bring your friends, 16 years and older. Seating is limited to 20 participants per session.

As part of our outreach efforts and library program, DWS is offering an introductory experience to help to explore this exciting and sometimes unpredictable medium with those who want to try watercolor.

Sussex Garden Tour
Sussex Gardeners have invited DWS artist to pain in six gardens in and near the Rehoboth Beach Yacht and Country Club.  A “free lunch” will be available to all artists who participate at the Lutheran Church of Our Savior, 20276 Bay Vista Road, Rehoboth behind Big Fish Grill.
