Position Description - Outreach Director


General Description



The Outreach Director is a member of the Board of Directors and is responsible for developing and initiating the Corporation’s effort to expand its mission to the community through partnering with and engaging other groups and individuals to inform, educate, and promote watermedia art.


Specific Responsibilities and Duties:



  • Attends board and membership meetings and actively participates in the governance of the organization.
  • Researches and investigates opportunities to provide information on watermedia art through various non-profit, charitable, and service organizations.
  • Seeks out and develops new programs and coordinates art activities to increase the Corporation’s visibility within the community, the state, and beyond.
  • Develops the location, frequency, staffing, and funding requirements for each outreach project.
  • Maintains a record of each proposed and implemented outreach effort.
  • Acts as the Chair of the Outreach Team by guiding outreach efforts and coordinating member participation.
  • Suggests, develops, and coordinates mentoring and partnership programs to foster interest in watercolor and watermedia.
  • Seeks grant opportunities.
  • Fosters Corporation programs that support community service needs.
  • Assists in developing art partnerships with schools, colleges and universities.
  • Participates in recruitment activities to increase membership levels.
  • Assists with all Corporation activities and events.
